Your camera arrives ready to capture: just put it up (as shown in the picture) and switch to CAPTURE MODE . Pictures will start showing up in your ZEITCloud portal.
Not working as expected? Call Michael + 1 647 865 0172Please familiarize yourself with the parts below to ensure you have the best experience when deploying the camera.
- The solar panel needs to face the sun / south without obstructions (no shadows from cables for example).
- The more stable the camera is mounted (no wobbling!) the better the images will be.
- We recommend that you angle the camera without the sun appearing in the field of view. If that's not possible we can enable HDR mode to help with proper exposure.
- Don't forget to confirm the camera is switched to CAPTURE mode before you leave.
- Camera
- The 3 position switch has a white plastic tube screwed onto it to protect it during transit. Take it off and keep it.
- Solar Panel
- It needs to face south towards the sun at a roughly 45 degree angle. The angled mounting plate can be flipped if needed.
- Make sure the red cable is connected properly (pushed in until it makes a click sound - this can be very hard when the plastic is very cold).
- Adjustable Mounting Arm
- Two different size U-bolts for pipe mounting options
- Safety cable can be attached to the hole below the label on the camera and to the post or wall the camera is mounted to.
- Extension cable with USB adapter to either extend the reach of the solar panel or charge camera via USB
- Flip the switch into Viewfinder Mode (down). The camera will start a WiFi Access Point (AP).
- Wait 30 seconds for the WiFi AP to become available and scan the QR code on the label with your smart phone’s camera app. Your phone will suggest to sign in and after you do that you should see a viewfinder popup (it might take a few seconds to load each step). If you see a broken photo please click the refresh button in the viewfinder window. If that does not work please follow the steps below.
- Don't leave the camera in Viewfinder mode longer than you need it, it will drain the battery much faster than in CAPTURE mode. Viewfinder stops working after 30 minutes and you have to start again.
- Don't forget to switch to CAPTURE mode before you leave
Viewfinder TroubleshootingIf you are in Viewfinder mode but the QR code does not work or you can’t use it, you can access the WiFi AP manually. If there is no AP, turn the camera off for 2 seconds, then back into Viewinder mode to reboot it. Use a smartphone / tablet / laptop to connect to that WiFi AP: TimelapseCameraLTE Password: timeispower After connecting, open a web browser like Chrome and enter the following into the address field: 192.168.4.1 The browser will now take you to an interface where you can see the viewfinder. Make sure you are connecting to http://192.168.4.1 and not “https”.

Fully integrated in our offering. Nothing for you to install or pay. We operate in the US, EU and in Canada but only where 4G / LTE signal is available. If you are unsure if your project is within coverage, please contact us.
In very cold conditions, our camera conserves energy by taking fewer photos. It works well even at -30°C (-22°F), but it needs a strong charging sourceto keep it running smoothly. If you're in a place that gets really cold for long periods, reach out to us before you buy, so we can ensure you have what you need for the camera to perform at its best.
Occasional cleaning of the lens and solar panel may be required depending on deployment site.
2 x 3,000 mAh - Enough to upload 500 full-resolution photos on a single charge within good 4G / LTE signal. Approx. 4 weeks on a full charge with 1-hour photo intervals, without re-charging.
Our camera comes with an efficient, external 2W / 6V
Voltaic solar panel that fully powers up the device with just 12 hours of sunlight. Even in places with minimal sunshine, a few hours of daylight each month are enough to capture photos every half hour. If you're in an area with limited sunlight, we can offer larger panels to meet your needs—just let us know.
4ft solar cable extension + USB Adapter (for indoor usage where solar is not an option). Extension cable works for both solar panel and USB charging (5V - 16V).
